Charlemagne somewhat enjoyed having foreigners among his kingdom. He was delighted of the Christian foreigners, but not of
the non-Christian people. He didn’t seem to mind the fact that there were numerous foreigners, but he did mind the fact
that there were non believers living in his kingdom. Charlemagne thought that the non believers were starting to become a
nuisance, but because there were so many and they didn’t seem to be doing any great harm, Charlemagne just left them
alone and focused his attention on more important subjects.
